Sifu Agostino DeSanti ( 狄山堤), was born and raised in Connecticut. Growing up, he studied Karate and Tae Kwon Do. Later on, after dedicating many years to playing football, he began to focus more on martial arts.

He began studying Jeet Kune Do in 1998, which is a martial art that Bruce Lee developed. Bruce Lee based Jeet Kune Do on Wing Chun and added aspects of other fighting styles like Boxing, Fencing and Grappling and Filipino Kali.

Sifu DeSanti really enjoyed the Wing Chun concepts behind Jeet Kune Do. So much, that he continued to focus solely on Wing Chun from 2012.

In 2013, he became a private student of Master William KWOK, who is Grandmaster WAN Kam Leung ‘s closed door disciple and Head of Practical Wing Chun North America . Master Kwok has given Sifu DeSanti a mandate to start the first Connecticut Branch of PWC, offering lessons to students who are interested in our system of Wing Chun.

Outside of Wing Chun, Sifu DeSanti works in  foreign currency markets. He has an MBA from St. John’s University in Rome, Italy. He also has a Bachelors of Arts in Italian and a Bachelors of Science in Marketing, both from St. John’s University in New York. Sifu DeSanti is fluent in Italian and is  currently studying Cantonese.

 
Who are we and what do we offer?

 Practical Wing Chun Club Connecticut is under the Master William KWOK’s Lineage of Practical Wing Chun. We offer lessons to anyone interested in learning our style of Wing Chun and who comes to train with sincerity and an open mind.

Our style focuses on close range combat techniques and self defense applications via body structure, observation of angles and keeping our bodies relaxed.

The  system is not designed for competition but rather to defend oneself from attacks as quickly and efficiently as possible.
